Vehicles in Germany's Town Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Police reported they were contacted by a man who noticed a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored liquid

Approximately fifty cars have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Cars, exterior walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.

Police state they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.

The substance had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Police then located numerous other marked vehicles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement state early analysis show the liquid was probably blood from a person.

"There is still no clue as to where it came from; investigators are presently not cognizant of any harm in association with the occurrence," they added.

City officials announced they were attempting "to unravel the mystery" and have asked to the residents for tips.

A senior representative said the vandalism made him without words and had to be resolved promptly.

"This incident affects the core of Hanau and revives the wounds of the extremist terrorist attack half a decade ago," he posted on online, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a gunman focusing on individuals of migrant background in February 2020.
